My office.


Here's a quick look at where I'll be sat for the driving part (stage and road miles) of the Paperclix Jersey Rally. Basic but not too bad I think you'll agree. Notice that the dash is the road car version which actually works very well in the hustle and bustle of competition. just out of picture is my new trip meter ~ it is fixed to the door on a hand crafted (thanks Mickey) bracket.
The silver padding is extra sound proofing fitted to help deaden the wail of the 2.5 engine that sits just inches behind our seats. With the new helmets and intercom not being as good as expected we've had to try and lower sound levels by other means.
It will certainly get warm in their, especially in Nomex underwear and a race suit so the wind down windows will be a bonus. Whilst they're not as light as perspex they certainly score higher for practicality!
I'm very keen to get over onto the island now and start focusing on the stages, only a few days 'til we fly out.....
